Amman, Feb. 20 (Petra)-- The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson announced that a security force from the Northern Region Command and the Criminal Investigation Department has identified and arrested the individual who assaulted a person with a disability inside a cemetery in Irbid. The suspect appeared in videos that circulated on social media yesterday.

According to the spokesperson, a special investigative team was formed immediately after the videos surfaced, showing a man physically assaulting and verbally abusing a person with a disability. Investigations revealed that the incident was filmed inside a cemetery in Irbid Governorate approximately ten days ago.

Authorities promptly identified the victim and summoned him along with his guardian, who filed an official complaint.

The spokesperson confirmed that the victim was in good health.

Further investigations led to the identification of both the main assailant and the individual who filmed the incident. The person who recorded the video was arrested, while the primary suspect was located and apprehended on Thursday afternoon.

The spokesperson affirmed that, following interrogation, the strictest legal and administrative measures will be taken against both individuals.
